Evgeni Plushenko WIP

This is so hard. On one hand I can see that I'm making steady progress. I've developed more as an artist in one month than I've done in years. Who would've figured that the more you paint, the better you get. 😏 But something is just not right here, right now, with this piece. 😞 In the original pic that I used for reference he looks so calm and serene. There is a certain "something" that I just feel is missing. There is something in his expression that I'm trying to convey, but I'm just not there yet. Now this is going to rest for a few days while I'm at work. Hopefully the oil has set just right when I get home so that I start "figuring it out" again.
